 The
Oakbridge Academy of Arts (formerly the Art Institute of New
Kensington) is an art school and a photography school that
specializes in career educational opportunities and training
for the student who wants to gain the working knowledge necessary
to succeed in today's competitive visual arts society.
The
curricula at the art school and the photography school are
designed to offer students a concentrated study. Our approach
to career education provides each individual with the training
to actualize his or her potential for growth. The Academy works
with each student on an individual basis towards their competency
as a visual artist or professional photographer.
Oakbridge Academy of Arts is accredited by
the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of
Technology (ACCSCT).
Oakbridge Academy of Arts has been recognized
by ACCSCT as a School
of Merit . Oakbridge has been recognized for our efforts
in demonstrating a high-level of achievement among our students.
In order to be eligible for the award, a school must meet all
of the criteria for the School of Distinction and a majority
of the schools’ graduation and employment rates from all
programs offered must meet or exceed the average rates of graduation
and employment among all ACCSCT-accredited institutions.
